The Management Body:
"Kindergarten
Emilio Alemagna"

The "Emilio Alemagna Nursery School" was established on October 29, 1904 and was elevated by Royal Decree to a non-profit organization on July 12, 1908. As a public entity, it assumed the status of Public Institute for Assistance and Charity (IPAB); in 2003, the organization was denationalized by law and transformed into a non-profit legal entity under private law.
It took the name of "Scuola Materna E. Alemagna" following the 1968 reform (law 444/1968) and, after the further reform of 1991, it became a nursery school.
After its equalization in 2002, it is now a state-funded school integrated into the national education system.
Following the transformation implemented by decree of the Lombardy Region in 2003, the Management Body is now represented by the private law legal entity "Scuola dell'Infanzia E. Alemagna".

Emilio Alemagna

The architect Emilio Alemagna (Milan 1833 - Barasso 1910) was born and raised in the Milanese aristocratic environment.
He graduated in Mathematics and Engineering from the University of Pavia and specialized in Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. He worked during a period of restoration and revival of the cultural and aesthetic values of the past, as well as an openness to new issues in the fifty years following the unification of Italy, a period that was crucial to the formation of the modern Lombard architecture movement.

He was a member of the Brera Academy, where the dissemination of the designs of architect Alessandro Sidoli was very important during that period. Alemagna adopted this eclectic neo-Gothic style in his early works, which we see in his earliest creations, particularly in the Villino Borghi located on Via Turati (then Via Principe Umberto). His main mentor was the architect Giuseppe Balzaretto, with whom he also collaborated.
He completed many important works: Villa Ponti in Varese, Villa Borromeo in Arcore, and the Public Gardens in Milan, which were restored for the 1881 Industrial Exhibition, for which he also oversaw the decorations. This exhibition was followed by others located on the grounds of the Sforza Castle. He designed the "Parco Sempione," built between 1888 and 1894, which included avenues suitable for carriages, a pond, and a lookout point where the Parco Sempione Library currently stands. The landscape was designed according to the Romantic model of English parks.
Most of his works were the restoration of Milanese palaces of the Lombard aristocracy and business class, along with their 18th-century villas in the province (Visconti, Trivulzio Borromeo, Castelbarco, Isimbardi, Ponti, etc.).
Viale Emilio Alemagna in Milan, which leads into Parco Sempione itself and which is now overlooked by the building that houses the Milan Triennale, is dedicated to him.
The Barasso Nursery School, the building of which he designed in 1907, is named after him.

True! The 5×1000 is a fraction of your personal income tax (IRPEF). It's absolutely not an additional expense. If you decide not to allocate the 5×1000 to anyone, that portion of your personal income tax will still be paid to the state.

– I already donate 8×1000: can I choose to donate 5×1000 as well?

Yes, because these are two very distinct and non-alternative actions.

– Can I deduct 5×1000 from my taxes?

No. The 5×1000 is not a donation and therefore does not generate the tax benefits established by law for charitable donations (TUIR).
